project 6: site analysis

This is my site analysis. I 'm doing overall analysis on hbp area, including topography, microclimate, traffic, and some basic building abt each buildings.


 Actually I'm trying to do it based on promotion concept, something like this :

although it doesn't really look like :P

NVM, I'd try my best. So this is my site analysis.

This is the title , compass, and some introduction about hbp. 

The font for hbp is designed by myself. :P

 This are the sketches of the hbp main building and their brief explaination.

I put a lot of effort on these sketches. X(  

but i think the effect is quite satisfied. lol

I sketched "drum". Because it is one of the significant building in hbp 

so, i want to emphasize on it.

This is the traffic diagram and the legend for this site visit.

Although I still made a lot of mistake in this project, but I know that i'd improve a lot compare to previous work. So, i will always update myself in sketching and drawing skills, so that i can produce a better quality work and move toward a brighter architecture life! =)

Project 5 : the mask!!!

This is my mask.

Firstly, I explain the process of the making of this mask.

    

Firstly, I paste the newspaper with glue layer by layer on my face.

I used flour to make my own glue because it dry faster.

 Then, i paste a layer of  paper machier to make the texture, eyebrow, mouth , nose on my face. 

 After that, i dry my mask with fan and hairdryer as well.

At last , the mask is done!!!

he help me to make the mask at 5am morning!!

 LOL!!

After the mask completely dry, i start  to paint my mask.

The final product!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!

So, i would like to tell my story behind this mask now.

In 1995, my dad bought an unit of apartment. That was the first house he bought.
He had high expectation on his first dream house.

However, the developer had argument with the contractor and they flee away due to economic crisis in 1997. BUT that apartment construction work was over 90% finished. They just left  the uncompleted work!

My dad was extremely depressed and angry at that time.
He need to pay the loan but still cannot own the house. He always went the site and looked at the almost
finished building with mixed feeling of sad, numb, angry, resentment, disappointment, frustration and collapse

Hence, I pass through that building, i will have the feelings same as my dad.

I can deeply understand my dad's feeling and tension at that time.
I hate those irresponsible people which involve in this case!!!
They are selfish, they just care about their own profit!!!!
I CURSE them!!!!!!!

So, I make this mask based on that feeling. First, sad Then extremely anger!!!!

I used black  and red to represent anger.
The eye is full with the blood vessels and start
bleeding. This show the anger in my heart
explode out from my eye!!!!

I used black and white to represent sadness.
I cry because I understand my dad bitterness.

                 So , Hi!! This is my mask. =)

Project 4b : blue print

So, this is my blueprint of my SCULPTURE.

Ok. This is my first time using water color in studio assignment. Nice try but a bit late. Why I don't want to use for previous work? Because i afraid!! i admit that i'm not capable in using water color, I'm weak coloring especially using water color. I am so timid to take this challenge. So, the result is my previous works sucks!! After these few weeks i just realised that only colorful thing can attract other people. First impression is very important. How can color pencil compare with water color???

 It's too late to know the impact of color on the work....

Architecture is very competitive. No matter how good is your work, there will always someone better than you. Sometimes, even your work will be said as " 5 minutes work". OMG!! All the efforts and sacrifices have been ignored. Heartbroken!! Only colorful, outstanding, extraordinary work will be valued. It is too late to know this reality....

I can't blame anyone and I'm not blaming anyone. I'm just feel upset and stress when doing assignments. I admit that  I'm weak in anything, not creative enough, and not confident to my works. Haiz, all my weakness revealed on my works.If others don't understand my work or even don't like my work, is it their fault? NO! It is my fault!!

So, never mind, I'm still who i am. I promised i will do my best to study in HBP.

This is the list I gonna to do :

i) emphasize on color. improve coloring skills. produce colorful and attracting artwork.

ii) be brave to take any challenge. don't even do things that will be regret after that. concern for any   decision because any imperfect will destroy my work.

iii) do research on the subject that i gonna to do. Don't simply make things without any knowledge. creativity cannot stand alone without knowledge and skills.

iv) BE CONFIDENT!!!!

I will transform myself!! I need to control my future and take responsibility to my works. I'm not competing with others, but competing with myself!!! Must defeat my greatest enemy --- myself!!

Don't worry, I'm still survive. =)



p/s: I'm just want to be honest to myself and everyone. I just want to share and express my true feeling here.( although i know this blog only for studio assignment purpose :P ). not meant to against or sarcasm anyone. 

project 4a : sculpture

Every picture tells a story .

My sculpture  tells a story too.

People always build many functionless building which known as "white elephant ". Besides, people are producing a lot of pollutions which harm themselves.  Most of the people live in suffer and stress. hence, nowadays people seems like live in a jail,  they are locked up by themselves.

A prisoner, Jack, want to escape from his jail, he wants a freedom life. He meet a passenger, Jill and so ask Jill to save him. Jill sympathy to jack, hence, she start to plant tree under his jail.

Jack confused. He ask:" y u plant tree?"
Jill says:" a tree can save your life, and give you freedom...". She smile.
Jack still confused.



                                                        

Gradually, the tree grow up and the leaves are growing faster,greener, and bigger. Miraculously,
the leaves breaks the jail cage and leave a crack ont the wall of the jail.


"Wow! such a miracle! " Jack says. 
"This is not miracle, this is nature. Trees balance this world. It always plays the roles silently but people just ignore it's existence. It's root hold the earth, and ours future. " Jill says and smile sweetly.

Jill help Jack to come out from his jail.
Jack shout:" Yeah! i am free now! !!! thanks Tree! and thanks Jill!"


      

Soon, the tree grows faster and faster and eventually become a huge tree. Jack's prison no longer exist.

Jack and Jill falls in love to each other. They look after the tree tenderly. Both of them become a nature lover.

Finally, they have their own family and 2 children.

One of the son ask:" Dad, why we should live under the tree?"
Jack says:" Son, this is not just a tree, this is our mother of nature. It provide us anything. We should always appreciate it contribution towards human. Without tree, now i maybe still trap in my jail. It set me free. Now you can see, the tree is so beautiful. Am i right? Jill?"
Jill smile."yes, finally you understand.."
" Mom,Dad, I love this tree!!!" one of the son exclaims.Jack and Jill laugh together with their son. 

They live under that tree happily from now to forever. =)



Jill's hard work not only save Jack from suffer but also educate him and their children.  People always struggle and persist to material and earn money and forget about the importance of the nature. The tree planted by them give a chance to jack to reborn and give shade to the next generation.This also remind us that the existence of our current
happiness and valuable national heritage is due to 
the struggles of our predecessors.
Sustainable development has become a topic of heated debate in recent years. While it is justifiable to satisfy current demands, we cannot neglect the needs of our descendants in the process. Our children also depend on Earth's natural resources and we should not deprive them of such necessities.  We should always think about our next generation because we borrow the earth from our children. Every step we take now will affect our next generation and our mother nature. we have the responsibility to ensure that future generations have enough natural resources to use and are not penalized for the shortsightedness of present day decision makers..

Project 3b : the cube( perspective)

So, after i completed my model, i draw the perspective view of it..
I learned about various type of perspective view during the lectures, so i apply it on my drawing .

one-point perrspective

                                                        to me, this is the hardest perspective view to draw.....

this is the final product!!!! yeah! personally i satisfy with it, it is arranged nicely and so colorful. haha.

Project 3a : black box (pictoral)

 This assignment is about to construct a model by accretion and subtracting a cube. Below is my model.

 
basically, i  rearranged the boxes into 2 L shape which stack together inversely. When we look from plan it will be L shape but when we look from side , it will become T. I colored it into 6 colors and different for each faces.

                 although  it may looks simple but to me it is unique

enough and it is suit my style which is "simple is great".

besides, it is fulfill all the requirement of the instruction.

some may ask why your model so dull and lack of creativity, what can i say is just art is subjective. To me that is mine creativity . however i admit that this is not the best work, i promise i can do better than this next time.

p/s: due to some technical problem,i cant post the photo orthographic projection. sorry.>.< but for sure, it is an excellent job! haha!
